چکیده

Plants are the key source for production of novel therapeutic products new medicines. The biological properties plant species used world wide mainly accountable their secondary metabolites obtained from plants. goal this analysis is to summarize chemical composition and effects genus Sida (Malvaceae) identify potential research opportunities. This draws on literature review scientific journals, books libraries, electronic sources like ScienceDirect, Springer, PubMed, ResearchGate, Google Scholar, Website. Some groups metabolite compounds isolated include alkaloids, flavonoids, coumarin, others. Pharmacological experiments found that there a variety activities in extracts comprising antimalarial, antiplasmodial, antimicrobial, analgesic, antibacterial, antioxidant, vasorelaxant, wound healing, antifungal activities, inhibition quinone reductase, mouse mammary organ culture.

Phenolic compounds from Achillea millefolium L. and their bioactivity.

Since antiquity, Achillea millefolium L. (Asteraceae) has been used in traditional medicine of several cultures, from Europe to Asia. Its richness in bioactive compounds contributes to a wide range of medicinal properties. In this study, we assessed A. millefolium methanolic extract and its isolated components for free radical scavenging activity against 2,2-diphenyl-pycrilhydrazyl, total antio...

Plant Secondary Compounds; Their

Both the anti-nutritional and beneficial effects of secondary compounds in a range of temperate and tropical forages have been reviewed. Major secondary compounds in temperate and tropical forage plants occur in the phenolic fraction and include condensed and hydrolysable tannins, phenolic monomers and lignin. Condensed tannins (CT) bind to plant protein by pH-reversible hydrogen bonding. In te...
